EPL Predictions: Week 9
Each week, ISH Soccer Writer Adam Leightman, will predict the outcomes of every Premier League game, and one big European match as well.
Real Madrid Vs. Barcelona
Normally, the Non-English Game of the week is at the end of the article, but this is El Classico. The return of Luis Suarez. Ronaldo Vs. Messi. Bale Vs. Neymar. These are just a few of the many glorious story lines heading into the huge game this weekend. After a slow start, Real Madrid has surged back to third place, winning 4 games in a row. Barcelona, with a lot of new young players, sit undefeated through 8 games, and have yet to concede in the La Liga Season. This game will be great, and will come down to the wire.

Real Madrid 2-3 Barcelona
West Ham Vs. Man City
West Ham hosts Man City in a surprising top 4 battle at Upton Park. 1/5 of the season is over and shockingly, West Ham sit in 4th place with 13 points. Man City have played well on the season, but are 5 points behind Chelsea in 2nd place. I expect Man City to give West Ham a reality check this weekend.
West Ham 0-3 Man City
Southampton Vs. Stoke City
Southampton hosts Stoke City after one of the most surprising results all year after winning 8-0 at Sunderland last week. Stoke City is also coming off a victory, after beating Swansea 2-1. This game should go back and forth, and at the end of the game it will be tied.
Southampton 1-1 Stoke City
Liverpool Vs. Hull City
Liverpool finally got back on the winning trail, after defeating QPR 3-2 in a game where QPR scored TWO own goals to help Liverpool win. Hull City currently sits in 11th place, with 4 draws on the season, including a hard fought point earned at the Emirates last weekend. I expect Hull to hod their ground and earn a point.

Liverpool 2-2 Hull City
Sunderland Vs. Arsenal
Sunderland hosts Arsenal a week after being embarrassed by Southampton. Arsenal also got shocked after needing a late goal to salvage a point at home against Hull City. Both teams are in desperate need of a bounce back week to regain confidence in the league. Arsenal has too much class to drop points for a third straight week.
Sunderland 1-2 Arsenal
West Brom Vs. Crystal Palace
West Brom hosts Crystal Palace as both teams try to jolt their way to the top half of the table. West Brom have struggled to close out games recently, after conceding a late equalizer to Man United on Monday night. Crystal Palace fought hard against Chelsea, but came up empty after losing 2-1. West Brom will struggle with the short week as Palace takes the 3 points.
West Brom 0-2 Crystal Palace
Swansea City Vs. Leicester City
Swansea welcomes Leicester to Wales in the late afternoon Saturday kickoff. Swansea have had a decent start to the season, sitting in 8th place. Leicester has been strong at home, but have struggled on the road. Swansea will take advantage of Leicester’s poor play away from home and take all 3 points.
Swansea 1-0 Leicester
Burnley Vs. Everton
Burnley hosts Everton as they continue to search for their first Premier League win of the season. Everton finally took a step in the right direction after thrashing Aston Villa 3-0. Everton will continue to click, even if they are away from Goodison Park, and take all 3 points convincingly.

Burnley 1-3 Everton
Tottenham Vs. Newcastle
Tottenham hosts Newcastle as the Spurs look to bounce back from their 4-0 defeat to Man City last weekend. Newcastle FINALLY got their first win of the season last weekend against Leicester City. I expect both teams to good for the win from the start of the game, but Newcastle will continue their winning ways.
Tottenham 1-2 Newcastle
Queens Park Rangers Vs. Aston Villa
QPR hosts Aston Villa in a Monday Night Football showdown. Both teams are coming off of crushing defeats. Villa got thrashed by Everton, will QPR threw away the game against Liverpool by scoring two own goals. This game will go back and forth, but both teams will struggle to score.
QPR 0-0 Aston Villa
Game of the Week:
Man United VS. Chelsea
Manchester United hosts the current leaders Chelsea in the game of the week. Chelsea is unbeaten through 7 games and are in complete control of the league. Man United have continued their inconsistant play after a 2-2 draw with West Brom last week. Chelsea is too strong for a United team without Wayne Rooney (Red Card Suspension) and will take all 3 points at Old Trafford.
Man U 1-3 Chelsea
